Infinity has seen quite a few incarnations since Guile and Gadfly set it up in 1993. Originally hosted by the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NMT for short - "Tech" to locals), it was run on a server inside the campus, and cared for by Office Bearers of the Virtual World Club. Since then it has moved several times, and apart from 2 breaks has been running continuously.
